The Dilemma New Release Movie Out on DVD Now

This heartfelt comedy New Release Movie was known as the Untitled Loeb Project and the Untitled Vince Vaughn Project before the title of  The Dilemma was finally decided upon. The final title is perfect for this film, which combines a number of obstacles for the main characters to overcome in an amusing and endearing fashion.

This film was released into theaters nationwide on January 14, 2011 and is directed by Ron Howard. The all-star cast includes big names such as Winona Ryder, Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Jennifer Connelly, Channing Tatum, and Queen Latifah. Distributed by Universal Pictures, The Dilemma runs just under two hours and is rated PG-13 due to sexual themes.

The plot of  The Dilemma movie is based on an idea by producer Brian Grazer, which places one man in the middle of a perception altering crisis. We are introduced to this man, Ronny, played by Vaughn, as well as his best friend and business partner, Isaac, played by James. Isaac has been happily married for years and Ronny has always admired the relationship, even idolizing it into perfection.

Ronny’s dilemma is presented when he discovers that his friend’s marriage is not perfect at all because Isaac’s wife is cheating on him. Upon realizing that the relationship isn’t perfect his faith in love and romance is broken and he begins to have a melt down, even jeopardizing the basis of his own relationship with his girlfriend.

Ronny soon discovers that he doesn’t know the whole story behind Isaac and his wife, and we watch as he becomes more erratic and unstable while trying to make sense of the whole thing. This dilemma inevitably leads to other dilemmas, making The Dilemma a funny and triumphant story of love and transformation.

While this film has been very successful, many viewers question whether the directing style matches the overall atmosphere of the script. The nature of this type of comedy is that it must bring out the lighthearted and amusing side of a dark topic, which Howard does not have a lot of experience with in the past.

The film is not without its flaws, however the dedication to the situation of the main characters, as well as the appealing balance between romance and comedy, make this film utterly enjoyable. The chemistry between James and Vaughn is evident from the start, helping to captivate the audience into the Dilemma that has put a crack in the foundation of their perceptions of each other.

The DVD of this film will be available starting May 3, 2011, as well as being available on Netflix as soon as May 31, 2011. The DVD will feature many additional features, such as behind-the-scenes footage and pre-recorded commentary.
